Can you believe it's just one more day to Christmas?? Gosh...time sure pass fast...
Received an Xmas present from Eric last week. A Body Shop gift pack that includes a bottle of body lotion, shower foam and a loofah. Perfect! The loofah was just what I needed...was looking around for one. The shower foam and body lotion is White Musk scented, one of my favourite smells from Body Shop. So lucky that Irene chose it for me. :D
Irene gave me an adorable Piglet handphone pouch. I have too many pouches and that's the way I like it! Haha..
The pressie that I chose from Don's "Santa" bag was a pair of cute pink piggy towel balls.
Our very nice customer, E, gave me an accessories organizer. Just what I wanted too! But I couldn't find a suitable one in Ikea..
The gift even matches my wardrobe! Perfect. :D
And today I received 2 more pressies. 1 from another nice customer, V, and one from an ex-colleague, L. Gonna unwrap it after I reach home.
Actually, I received another "pressie"....from Boss. Our increment letter! Haha...cannot divulge here how much it is. Let's just say that...it's good enough for me. :)
Pictures will upload later!
We caught The Storm Warriors II.
Can I just say how disappointed I was??
We've waited 11 freaking years for this and they gave us a shitty movie!!

Japanese evil warlord Lord Godless desired to conquer China. He imprisoned a large number of martial artists and tried to make them subjugate. Among the prisoners were Cloud and the martial expert elder statesman Nameless. Wind came to the rescue. The trio was badly wounded by Lord Godlesss evil martial arts attack. Chu Chu was also knocked out when she blocked Cloud from Lord Godlesss strike. The remaining martial artists sacrificed their lives to save the trio, in the hope that the trio would beat Lord Godless one day and save the country. Chu Chu was badly wounded and stayed unconscious. Cloud was filled with remorse and vowed to take revenge. Wind chose to take the evil way to quickly boost up his martial arts skills, so that he could protect the people. During his training, he met the girl who hanged his life, Dream. Meanwhile, the troop of Lord Godless came to attack. Winds training was interrupted when he tried to save Dream from Lord Godlesss assault. After some killings, Wind ran away and disappeared Lord Godless took The Emperor in captivity and stationed his troops in Heaven Cave. Cloud arrived alone and started a combat with Lord Godless. Lord Godless had the upper hand. In the meantime, the half-evil Wind appeared and joined the battle. During the fight, they inadvertently discovered the secret of the sovereign. The real intention of Lord Godlesss invasion was related to an ancient tomb, a forbidden ground buried with the Royal family's secret. The truth was finally revealed. At last, how would the battle end? Who would eventually rule over the country? There was a lot of fighting scenes, which should have been awesome, but it was totally spoiled by the lousy filming. The stupid camera kept closing in on their bodies when they were fighting which only served to make us giddy. T_T For fuck's sake, when they're fighting and moving fast like that, you don't freaking zoom in! Zoom in for what? See what?!
The effects were very nice though, but did you have to replay almost every fighting scene in sloooooow-mo? I was thoroughly bored! And kept thinking to myself...why am I feeling so bored?? Was it only me? But no, Mr Toh had the same thinking. Zzz.
I was totally NOT impressed by it. Major disappointment. Bah.
I got your emails
You just don’t get females
Now, do you?
What’s in the heart
Is not in your head
Anyway..
Mate, you’re too late
And your weren’t worth the wait
Now, were you?
It’s out of my hands
Since you blew your last chance
When you played me
You’ll have to cry me out
You’ll have to cry me out
The tears that'll fall
Mean nothing at all
It’s time to get over yourself
Baby, you ain’t all that
Maybe, there’s no way back
You can keep talking
But baby, I’m walking away
When I found out
How you messed me about
I was broken (heartbroken)
Back then I believed you
Now, I don’t need you
No more
The pic on your phone
Proves you weren’t alone
She was with you, yeah
Now, I couldn’t care
About who, what or where
We’re through
You’ll have to cry me out
You’ll have to cry me out
The tears that'll fall
Mean nothing at all
It’s time to get over yourself
Baby, you ain’t all that
Maybe, there’s no way back
You can keep talking
But baby, I’m walking away
Gonna have to cry me out
Gonna have to cry me out
Boy, there ain’t no doubt
Gonna have to cry me out
Won’t hurt a little bit
Boy, better get used to it
You can keep talking
But baby, I’m walking away
Listen, I got the emails
I got the text
The answer’s still the same
It’s the way it is
I got to go

Isn’t it chio?! It’s even chioer in real life, trust me. =D We went down to godpa’s shop to take a look~
Been busy these few weekends watching movies and slacking. =X
Caught Mulan and New Moon over the weekend. Both were OK. Nothing spectacular.
But I am FIRMLY on Team Jacob! Not just because he has a fabulous body, but also because I can’t stand Edward. T_T He creeps me out. And I want this shirt!!!! Teehee.
“Team Jacob – because real men don’t sparkle”
I have a love hate relationship with weekends. On one hand, I am usually bloody glad that the week is over, and I get to have 2 rest days. But on the other hand, sometimes I get awakened by phone calls regarding work. That really sucks, especially when I wanna sleep in late. =(
Anyway…the previous Sat, we went cycling! It was a last minute decision, Sis called in the early afternoon to jio us. Mr Toh and me then went for lunch and prepared to go out. We cabbed to Pasir Ris so I can rent a bicycle first, then cycled to Sis’s house to drop off our overnight bag. And off we go! But after setting off, Sis realised her front tyre was kinda ‘lao hong’, so we stopped at the nearby Shell to pump air….but we ended up releasing even more air and the whole tyre was flat! Even called Godpa to ask, but the 3 of them tried, end up also cannot work… So we were left with no choice, and Sis and Ray cycled back to Sis’s house to use the air pump at her home while we waited at Shell.
We cycled to Changi V again! This time, we only had chwee keuh and drinks, then we continued on to East Coast. Had a yummy dinner at the hawker centre~ Mr Toh bought the famous satay beehoon…and he queued for damn long lor! Everyone else had finished buying their food and he was still not back yet, even though he was the first to go.
And we learned that buying canned drinks from the stall in the centre of the hawker centre costs $0.20 more than the stalls at the sides. Like…what the fish..
After dinner, we went to this lagoon where people were water skiing, where they were on these boards that was operated and pulled by machines! I was so amazed to see that…haha, so suaku!!
We then cycled back home… Really really enjoyed the cycling trip this time. I felt more confident, and not to mention that I have the cute pink gloves Mr Toh bought for me from Taiwan! So no blisters this time around! Wee~
Last Saturday, we went to Mom’s place, and after that, bro fetched us to Grandma’s house. Been a while since we last visited…we really must make an effort to visit her more often.
After that, due to Mr Toh and me being utterly boliao, we caught My Girlfriend is an Agent. It is super funny!! Eric recommended it..and since there wasn’t any other shows, we decided to give this a try.
Soo-ji and Jae-joon were once a couple until Jae-joon could not take her lies anymore. Years later, they meet each other again and the situation is changed. A Russian organized crime syndicate sets out to steal an advanced chemical weapon from Korea and two secret agents from separate departments are assigned to stop them. Soo-ji is a veteran secret agent who has mastered all forms of martial arts, and Jae-joon is a rookie cop and always goofs up on the job. While the two work out their relationship, they go behind each others backs to fulfill their mission to save the world!
Very funny and entertaining show! Great acting too. Highly recommended for a cheer-me-up movie! And can I just say that I love the heels the female lead is wearing in the poster?? Haha~!
Sunday, we caught Astro Boy! We even bought the popcorn combo that comes with a free Astro Boy cup! Cute!
A thrilling tale of a true hero, Astro Boy is an all-new, feature film full of action, adventure, humor and heart. It will be brought to life on the big screen in breathtaking CGI animation on October 23rd, 2009. Ultimately learning his friends and family are in danger, Astro Boy marshals his awesome super powers and returns to Metro City in a valiant effort to save everything he cares about and to understand what it takes to be a hero.
I felt that this movie was kind of more for kids. Very PG, you know? But it was still an enjoyable movie. And there were some parts that was so sad…that I teared. =(
I was never interested in Astro Boy, so I didn’t know much about the story, but after watching the movie, I felt that Astro Boy very kelian…
All in all, it was a chillax weekend for us…hee.
